Stratis x Blue Orchid Meet-ups

It’s been a pleasure bringing the Stratis community together in person these last couple of months. In September, we confirmed the launch of a series of events at Tower Suites in London as part of Stratis’ strategic partnership with Blue Orchid Group Hotels. We wanted to bring together people interested in blockchain-based technologies and innovation and showcase some of our incredible collaborators who continue building on Stratis. In this blog, we reflect on this year’s event highlights and reveal the dates for the first meet-ups of 2023.

The first meet-up took place on 23^rd September, and Stratis was pleased to welcome Omar Bik, Romano Zagorscak, and Hannah Nijsten as speakers. Omar discussed two exciting projects that he has led on Stratis: The Astroverse Club, a hybrid gaming platform, club and Metaverse, and Dawn of Ships, a blockchain-powered idle RPG game in which players take to the (virtual) seven seas to defend their ships and loot those of their rivals. Dawn of Ships is scheduled for beta testing at the end of this year.

Romano Zagorscak, CEO of Kiqqi Games, took to the floor to give attendees a fascinating insight into Trivia Legends, a Play 2 Own (P2O) style trivia game in which players compete and take part to earn different characters, represented by blockchain NFTs. Artist Hannah Nijsten ended the evening by discussing her work across physical and digital art, including an exciting upcoming project with Stratis to develop NFTs of her artwork that reflects Hannah’s own experience of art as someone with synaesthesia.

Similarly, the 21st October event brought blockchain creators and experts together for an evening of conversation and brilliant presentations from CoinVault and My XR Gallery. CoinVault, a Web3 Wallet for Stratis, continues to go from strength to strength and has announced that users can now swap cryptocurrency without any registration, all directly from the wallet. Meanwhile, My XR Gallery is making waves across the blockchain scene with an interactive NFT and VR gallery that melds art and the metaverse to enable users to trade NFT items across the Stratisphere NFT Marketplace.

Following the success and interest in these events, we are pleased to announce that they will continue next year. After the final event of 2022 on 16^th December, there will be a brief holiday hiatus before returning with five new dates for 2023, all at Tower Suites by Blue Orchid Hotels:
