The DevEx team is excited to share progress on the ongoing efforts to enhance blockchain development within Visual Studio for Stratis EVM and other EVM-compatible networks. As part of Milestone 3, a demonstration of the new Stratis EVM Network Explorer for Visual Studio is now available:
A Native Explorer for On-Chain Data
The Stratis EVM Network Explorer for Visual Studio introduces a native interface that enables developers to inspect blockchain data directly within their development environment. Designed to offer a consistent experience with the Stratis Explorer website, this new tool provides seamless, integrated access to network activity directly within Visual Studio.
Built using the Blockscout Explorer API, the explorer supports dashboards for any EVM-compatible network supported by Blockscout. Developers can easily search and explore:
- Blocks
- Transactions
- Accounts
- Smart Contracts
By integrating this functionality into the IDE, the DevEx team is helping developers stay productive and focused, without the need to switch between browser-based tools and local development environments.
Supporting the .NET and Unity Developer Community
These efforts reflect Stratis’ broader commitment to making blockchain development accessible to the global community of .NET and Unity developers.
By bringing Solidity development into Visual Studio—alongside C# and Unity workflows—the DevEx team is enabling a unified development experience for building, deploying, and managing smart contracts.
Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to build out best-in-class tooling for smart contract development on StratisEVM.
